Hi my name is Sergey. If I must tell you a story about myself, I shall start with my place of birth. I was made in the USSR. I was born in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. I came to America when I was 11 years of age, and picked up on English in about six month. I have lived in numerous places across the U.S., partly due to my military service. I have traveled far and wide from the hills of Tennesse to the plains of Texas, to the Ozarks of Missouri and the cotton fields of Georgia. While serving in the U.S. Army, I lived in Heidelberg, Germany for three years. That was a great experience being back in Europe almost 20 years after I left my home country. I traveled once more, to every country I could reach to across Europe. I even went back to my old hometown to see how things changed. I am married to a wonderful Ukrainian girl, that I met in Tennessee out of all the places. She is actually from the same city and neighborhood as I am from, go figure how I managed that. I have two wonderful boys and the latest addition to my family is my lovely beautiful girl, who was recently born this year. I try to explore many avenues and some alley ways. My interest range to many different places. I enjoy playing a pickup game of soccer, I play the guitar whenever I can, I like reading books and watching documentaries. I always try to learn something new whenever possible. The internet is a great place for that, from blogs to YouTube and then some. Although, it is hard to find useful information on the internet at times. Currently I am studying at Ohio State University the subject I love most of all, Engineering. Even-though, I have been a Civil Engineer in the Army and have experience, I decided to study the field since I do not hold a degree. I figured there is always something else I could learn. I plan to have my own Engineering firm one day soon. What else can I say about my self that would interest you. I do speak another language fluently, which is Russian and Ukrainian. I also know some German and I would like to learn Italian as well. I enjoy translating using my native language. I also like to meet people from other countries and learning about different cultures. I think that's enough about myself. Now it's your turn, tell me what interested you the most and if you have anymore questions for me.
Sergey, I really liked this first entry. You really have a variety of experience. I have also spent a little time in Heidelberg and enjoyed it very much. I am interested in how you ended up in Columbus of all the places you have been. Thanks for sharing.
